Waxing vs. Threading
Posted on April 19, 2022
Waxing can be a scary process for first-time hair removers. You’re getting a hot, sticky substance applied to the face and then ripped off like a band-aid. This idea is why a lot of people will opt for a threading appointment but then are not always happy with the outcome. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of why, at Bee Waxed Cosmetics, we absolutely prefer waxing vs. threading.
Threading
Threading is a form of hair removal that uses a thread to individually remove single hairs from the eyebrow area, which can often take a very long time. Not only does the skin have to be held extremely tight for the duration, but the technician also has to be skilled so that the hairs don’t break off instead of being completely removed. Not only is it a longer appointment, but it’s much more painful because you feel each individual hair being removed as opposed to many hairs removed with one quick pull.
Waxing
Sure, the first wax appointment is going to be unpleasant, but once you come regularly for maintenance, your skin becomes used to the treatment. This means the more waxing, the less pain. Threading remains unpleasant each time and is reported to feel like sharp stinging pain each time (We wouldn’t know because we’re all waxaholics).
To put it concisely, we always hear complaints that with threading, the client loses their eyebrow shape that we as waxers work so hard to fine-tune. We honestly believe that waxing is much more precise, and it is easier to maintain a picture-perfect shape. Our skilled technicians will ensure you have perfect brows every time.
So, with all the cons that surround threading… just get waxed!
