Why You Need A Cleanser
Posted on February 27, 2020
Let’s start with a few stats…
55% of people say they don’t wash their face every day, and 48% say they only use water. Even when they are using something, they substitute a facial cleanser for shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. That is one of the worst skincare mistakes you could make! Soaps have sodium hydroxide in them, which is considered a detergent. By using this, you’re not really cleaning your pores, you’re clogging them with oil, wax and dirt. Why is cleansing important?
Cleansing sanitizes the skin and removes it of any dirt and excess oil that may have built up during the day. It’s especially important to cleanse if you wear makeup or any other products on your skin. These cause extra buildup if not properly removed daily. What you should remember is, you should always start your day with a clean slate! How and when should you be cleansing?
Twice a day! Once in the morning before applying moisturizer and/or other products, and again at night to remove all of those products from your face. In terms of how to cleanse, it should never be too aggressive. Use gentle, circular motions and warm -- not hot -- water. Take extra care of the skin around the eyes, being sure not to tug.Why is our cleanser different from the rest?
Bee Clean and Bee Fresh are whipped formulas, which means that they evenly distribute across the skin. It also lasts much longer than other products, as a little goes a long way! It works its way deep into the skin to get rid of dirt and oil. These cleansers also have camphor in the ingredients, which is a natural anti-inflammatory to reduce red and puffy skin. So, to recap:
- Never use soap as a face wash
- Cleanse twice a day
- Be gentle. The cleanser should be doing all the work, not you
